My Austin Pets Alive! foster cat, Queenie

Queenie was rescued from the Town Lake Animal Center through "Austin Pets Alive!". I picked her up there on February 19.

Queenie is a tiny little female cat -- very adorable with her “tuxedo” markings, white paws & long white whiskers (see photos).

She's quiet and has a healthy appetite. She is also fairly timid and a bit skittish when encountered with sudden moves or loud noises -- understandable, given that she was left at an animal center, now in a home new to her & just recovered from a upper respiratory infection. But, Queenie loves to have her cheeks and neck scratched… purrs very loudly. She also likes belly rubs.

Queenie is great in using the litter box and grooming herself. So far, she doesn’t like to be picked up nor be approached with two hands at once.

She is up-to-date on her vaccines and is spayed.  Currently, Queenie is being treated for a weepy eye, but is completely adoptable!
