Queenie sure has acclimated to her foster home. She now keeps her foster company whenever she sits on the couch or chair working. Queenie's purring and soft coat provide an nice ambiance while her foster is plugging away on the laptop.
Diego, Queenie's foster brother, have the best time playing together. They have even started to groom each other at times... aaaaaww.
Queenie is so deserving of a forever home, but despite her many charms, she has been a foster cat for months now. Unfortunately, she doesn't do well at adoption events - she doesn't care for crates and cages, and who can blame her?! - she's so shy in that environment, that potential adopters are drawn to other, more outgoing kitties. If you are interested in meeting Queenie, her foster parent will work with you to arrange a meeting so you can see just how adorable Queenie is and what a great addition she'd be to a deserving family!
Queenie's foster would adopt her, except that would mean the no more cats could be fostered in her home... and so many other cats need to be rescued now. (As it's kitten season, Town Lake Animal Center is full!) And, Austin Pets Alive is in desperate need of new fosters... please consider rescuing a homeless cat or dog and becoming a foster!
